Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) is not a new concept, but it remains a vital one. The key is to have faculty embrace this concept and then have the tools to put it to work. Why embrace Writing Across the Curriculum? Because writing involves higherlevel thinking as it develops a complex set of skills that will serve our students well throughout their educational careers and beyond. Students who write well are students who write often. If you agree, then come and learn how to design effective writing assignments that will engage your students.
